Access to Fort McNair

Ft. McNair Visitors Gate: The visitor's gate on 2nd Street SW is open 24/7.  All personnel MUST use this gate to access Fort McNair, including non-DoD/non-federally affiliated visitors.  Note: Ft. McNair’s Ceremonial gate on 4th Street SW is closed until further notice.

ID Requirements: A federal or state government-issued photo ID with biographic information such as name, date of birth, gender, and address is required. Security badges are not acceptable. All credentials are subject to screening and vetting by Installation Access Control personnel. 

Vehicle Search: Non-DoD/non-federally affiliated visitors' vehicles are subject to search by Installation Access Control personnel. 

Visitor Pass: Please visit https://pass.aie.army.mil/jbmhh/ to request a one-day pass allowing access to Ft. McNair. 

Once on Fort McNair

The College of Information and Cyberspace’s main office is located in Room 201 of Marshall Hall (Building 62).  To reach Marshall Hall, visitors should enter via the entrance to Lincoln Hall (Building 64) and speak to the security officer there.  Lincoln Hall and Marshall Hall are connected via an indoor walkway.  There are two parking areas near the Lincoln Hall entrance.
