Please note that NDU has been informed that the shuttle which runs from L'Enfant Plaza to the Coast Guard Building on 2nd St SW (right outside the Fort McNair gate) will STOP this route on March 23, 2015. Students and employees who use this shuttle to come to NDU and other business at Fort McNair will have to locate other means of transportation. Also, the pedestrian gate from the Coast Guard Bldg to Fort McNair (closest to the marina) will close to foot traffic.
All persons wishing to enter Fort McNair will either have to come through the Main Gate on P Street (with a CAC card) or through the large Visitor Gate Entrance on 2nd Street SW. Visitors without CAC must enter here and allow time for vehicle search. This is a newly-implemented stepped-up security requirement. All visitors must have valid, picture ID to enter base.
