Lieutenant Colonel Alexander received his commission through the Air Force Officer Training School at Maxwell AFB, Alabama.  He is a career acquisition officer who served as a Systems Engineer and Program Manager in various positions at the squadron and wing levels. He is a fully Joint Qualified Officer (JQO) whose experience includes MILSATCOM, document/media exploitation, operational intelligence, and missile defense at the National Agency and Major Command levels. Lieutenant Colonel Alexander also served as Commander, Defense Logistics Agency Support Team in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan.

 

Lieutenant Colonel Alexander graduated from Tuskegee University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and has a Master of Business Administration degree from Wright State University. He also has Level III certification in Engineering and Level II certification in Program Management with the Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP), part of the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA).  His major awards and decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal, and Global War of Terror Service Medal.
