Relevant Professional Experience:
As the DoD Comptroller Chair at the CFO Academy, Mr. Aguilera helps develop curriculum, lectures, and provides administrative support to the iCollege’s new CFO Academy. In February 2006, Mr. Aguilera was promoted into the Senior Executive Service. From that time through August 2008, Mr. Aguilera served as the Associate Director for Contingencies and International Affairs in the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (Comptroller). There, he oversaw all funding for military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. From 1998 to 2006, Mr. Aguilera was the Deputy Chief of the Operations and Personnel Support Branch of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB)’s National Security Division. In addition to his official duties, Mr. Aguilera was elected to serve as the Vice President of the Board of the Directors of the Budget Federal Credit Union. Mr. Aguilera began his federal career in March 1991 as a Presidential Management Intern (PMI) at the U.S. Government Accountability Office and left GAO as a Senior Evaluator in October 1998. 

Scholarship:
Mr. Aguilera has written articles for the journals of Association of Government Accountants and the American Society of Military Comptrollers.
