Officially the College of Information and Cyberspace

The National Defense University (NDU) Information Resources Management College(IRMC) was formally re-designated as The College of Information and Cyberspace(CIC) during a re-naming ceremony on June 7th.

The new name better aligns the name of the college with its mission of educating military and civilian leaders and advisors to develop and implement cyberspace strategies, and to leverage information and technology to advance national and global security. The re-naming ceremony featured the “casing”, or retiring, of the IRMC flag, the unveiling of the new CIC coat of arms, and the uncasing of the new CIC flag.

A new designation was selected by considering the joint, interagency, and international character of the professional executive-level student body and faculty, as well as taking into account the accredited Master of Science degree and certificate programs. With the approval of Congress in the National Defense Authorization Act of 2017, the Information and Resource Management College was re-designated as the College of Information and Cyberspace. The CIC will continue to prepare its students for strategic leadership and success in developing a feasible national security strategy with an emphasis on the military, governmental, and private sector dimensions of information/cyberspace as a critical component of national security strategy.

In addition, we held a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of our newly renovated classrooms.
