The iCollege Welcomes Hamby as its New Chancellor

The faculty and staff of the NDU iCollege are happy to welcome a new chancellor today!   Janice Hamby, RADM, USN (Ret.) takes over the helm on Monday, October 06, 2014 from acting chancellor Dr. Mary McCully, who has been serving as the head of the iCollege since long-time chancellor Dr. Robert D. Childs retired on January 31, 2014.  Prior to RADM Hamby’s new position as iCollege Chancellor, she served as the Deputy CIO for Command, Control, Communications, Computers (C4), and Information Infrastructure Capabilities (DCIO for C4IIC) on the OSD staff.   She has worked for more than 30 years in the cyber and information technology arenas and served as a key technology strategist at senior levels of the staffs of the Secretary of Defense, CJCS, and the Commander, Multi-National Force - Iraq.  She also has held academic positions as an Associate Professor of Computer Science at the United States Military Academy and as a Lecturer for the Boston University School of Management. RADM Hamby graduated from the NDU iCollege, Naval War College, and the Joint Forces Staff College.
