Jonathan (Jon) R. Beasley is an Associate Professor of Practice at the College of Information and Cyberspace inside the National Defense University. He is a retired Army Infantry Officer with over 30 years of active-duty experience. Mr. Beasley previously served as military faculty inside the college as its Dean of Students and an Associate Dean of Faculty and Academics from 2019 through 2023. He has also served as a Professor of Military Science and Department Chair at the University of Toledo from 2009 through 2012. Relevant service on active duty included Headquarters Department of the Army staff, the Joint Improvised-Threat Defeat Organization, United States Army Pacific, Combined Security Training and Assistance Command-Afghanistan, Joint Security Area-Panmunjom, Observer/ Controller at the Joint Readiness Training Center, and multiple command and staff positions inside Combat Arms Brigades and Battalions. Mr. Beasley was deployed numerous times, in support of Operation Desert Shield/ Storm, Kosovo, Iraq and three times to Afghanistan.

 

Mr. Beasley holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Toledo, Master of Science from the Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy and a Master of Arts Louisiana State University.
