Relevant Professional Experience:
Prior to joining the College of Information and Cyberspace, Dr. Christian worked at the General Accounting Office where he led the development of the Information Technology Investment Management (ITIM) maturity framework, a method for assessing an agency’s IT investment management capabilities and processes. He also consulted with and guided teams on a variety of information technology evaluations, including those focusing on Clinger-Cohen Act implementations, strategic information management assessments, business process analyses, and business process change implementations. Prior to entering government service, Dr. Christian worked as a human factors engineer developing user-system interface designs for Eastman Kodak, Software Productivity Consortium, and Computer Sciences Corporation.
Scholarship:
Dr. Christian's research examines federal agency efforts to create and manage successful information technology investment portfolios as well as working with the Government Enterprise Integrators Group to develop the Government Enterprise Performance Management Maturity Model (PMMM) and guide adoption of the model.
