NDU provides all of its students with access to the Internet, wireless networks, curricula, and research tools -- all via DoD owned, managed, or compliant information systems. Access is predicated on student compliance with DoD Information Assurance (IA) regulations and requirements.
ALL STUDENTS WISHING TO ENROLL IN CIC AY19 COURSES AT NDU MUST SUBMIT:
A. A certificate of completion ("CyberCert") for the most recent DoD Cyber Awareness Challenge, taken AFTER April 1, 2018, and submitted no later than ONE WEEK prior to the course start date; and,
B. All students are required to complete the Personally Identifiable Information (PII), Course J6S Personally Identifiable Information (PII), Course #N- US416 https://jkodirect.jten.mil/Atlas2/page/coi/externalCourseAccess.jsf?v=1522420192854&course_prefix=J6S&course_number=N-US416
C. An NDU Student Account Access Request Form NDU CIC SAAR 2875 ("2875") completed and signed by the student and the security office of the student's agency/organization/unit, and submitted no later than ONE WEEK prior to the course start date.
A. DoD CYBER AWARENESS CHALLENGE CERTIFICATE INSTRUCTIONS
a. Take the most recent version of the Cyber Awareness Challenge course from one of the following:
i. Via DISA at https://iatraining.disa.mil/eta/disa_cac2018/launchPage.htm
ii. Via the Army Signal Corps (ARMY ONLY) at https://cs.signal.army.mil/DoDIAA/default.asp
iii. Via JKO at https://jkosupport.jten.mil/html/COI.xhtml?course_prefix=DOD&course_number=-US1364-18
NOTE: JKO registration requires a CAC, .gov address, or sponsored token. NDU token sponsor is Jen Russell, jennifer.russell@ndu.edu, 202-685-3789.
b. Download your Cyber Awareness Challenge completion certificate ("CyberCert")
i. After typing your name onto the certificate of completion, select "Print"
ii. When prompted to choose a printer, select "Print to PDF"
iii. Save the CyberCert as a PDF on your computer as AY19_CIC_Last_First_CERT, entering YOUR name for Last and First. (e.g. AY19_CIC_Jefferson_Thomas_CERT)
B. PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION INSTRUCTIONS
This training is being offered by JKO, to complete this training you are required to have the following: CAC, .gov address, or sponsored token. NDU token sponsor is Jen Russell, jennifer.russell@ndu.edu, 202-685-3789.

C. NDU CIC FORM 2875 INSTRUCTIONS
a. Open, complete and sign your program's 2875
i. Select the following link to open the NDU CIC Form 2875 for your program.
ii. Enter required data in boxes 1, 2, 11, 14, 15, 17, and 18
iii. Check box 22a
iv. Enter date of your completed Cyber Awareness Certificate in box 22b.
v. Check box 23a
vi. Enter today's date in box 23c *Must be entered BEFORE digital signature
vii. Digitally sign box 23b
viii. Save the signed NDU CIC SAAR 2875 on your computer as AY19_CIC_Last_First_2875, entering YOUR name for Last and First
*NOTE: Digital signature requires a CAC or PIV; if a hand-written signature is necessary, print the NDU CIC SAAR 2875, sign it, scan it in, and save it as a PDF to your computer.
b. Have your Security office validate your clearance or background investigation
i. Forward your signed NDU CIC SAAR 2875 via email -- OR print it out and hand-carry it -- to your security office.
ii. Your security office must complete boxes 36-40f on Page 3 (all boxes are required), and a security officer must digitally or hand sign the form.
iii. When you receive back the security-signed NDU CIC SAAR 2875, save it on your computer (or scan it in and save it), keeping the filename intact

SENDING INSTRUCTIONS
· Compose email with subject line of IA COMPLIANCE and your name, including your return contact information to: ndu-stuacctreqforms@ndu.edu

NEXT STEPS
· After review, you will receive an email when your IA compliance has been reviewed and accepted.
· If you submit a course registration for prior to compliance acceptance, you will be automatically waitlisted for courses
· After acceptance, you will be permitted to register for classes for the academic year.
