Chancellor's Lecture Series

The National Defense University community is invited to attend the Chancellor's Lecture Series featuring Mr. Thomas Lawhead, Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff for Strategy, Integration, and Requirements at USAF Headquarters. The event will take place from 0900-1000 Wednesday, February 19, 2025. In-person attendance in Marshall Hall, room 155A/B, is encouraged. 

Mr. Thomas J. Lawhead is the Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff, Strategy, Integration and Requirements, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, the Pentagon, Arlington, Virginia. In this role, Mr. Lawhead serves as the HAF A5, known as Air Force Futures, responsible for developing the Air Force strategy and concepts, conducting strategic assessments of the operating environment through wargames and workshops, manifesting an integrated future force design, and achieving timely and effective operational capabilities required for tomorrow’s Airmen to fight and win.

All lecture series events are part of PEC-6170, the Practicum, Experiential learning, and Capstone Exercise course. The purpose of the CLS is to complement the student curriculum and enhance CIC program learning outcomes.
