UC2 is thrilled to announce that after a thorough search, Dr. Gwyneth Sutherlin has been named the new Director of UC2, the DoD University Consortium for Cybersecurity. Dr. Sutherlin brings a wealth of expertise and experience, as a scholar, researcher, and leader, and we are confident she will lead UC2 to new heights.
Dr. Sutherlin is an expert in artificial intelligence ethics, cognitive linguistics, and cross-cultural analysis. She is an acclaimed researcher and scholar with a long resume supporting national security and DoD organizations, and a talent for building connections between organizations.
During her tenure as Interim Director, Dr. Sutherlin led the organization through a significant refocusing and rebranding initiative, developing a new mission statement and vision in partnership with UC2 stakeholders to integrate cyber workforce development and research ethics. She will continue this important work as Director, working to hone and highlight UC2’s place in the DoD cybersecurity research landscape.
