UC2 Summer Workshop

The UC2 Summer Workshop brought together academic and government stakeholders to evaluate the technical progress and operational relevance of two key projects funded by NSA NCAE grants. 

The workshop featured: 

• “Managing Cyber Risks to Missions” by Dr. Shouhuai Xu (University of Colorado Colorado Springs). 

• “Implementing Zero Trust at the Tactical Warfighting Edge” led by Dr. Prasad Calyam and Dr. Rohit Chadha (University of Missouri-Columbia), Dr. Vijay Anand (University of Missouri-St. Louis), and Dr. Reshmi Mitra (Southeast Missouri State University). 

Representatives from DoD end-user organizations actively participated, providing insightful questions and critical feedback to ensure the projects align with operational needs. 

Additionally, government reviewers provided comprehensive evaluations, shaping the academic teams’ methodologies, data strategies, scenario testing approaches, interface designs, and evaluation metrics. The collaboration underscored the importance of bridging academic research with practical applications in national security.
