Japanese Joint Staff J-6 Delegation exchanges information on Cyberspace Security and Cyber Leadership with the National Defense University iCollege

March 29, 2012, Washington, DC., A delegation from the Japanese Joint Staff J-6 visited Washington, DC on an official visit sponsored by the Office of the Secretary of Defense. They spent two days at the National Defense University (NDU) iCollege, located on Fort Lesley J. McNair and participated in a U.S. – Japan Cybersecurity Training seminar. Professor Gilliam Duvall, Chair, Cyber Integration and Information Operations Department comments, “This is a great opportunity to work with one of our closest coalition partners. Our goal is to engage in an active exchange of information with the Japanese Delegation and discuss common interests on the strategic use and defense of the Cyberspace Domain.” The 2-day seminar covered global cyber threats, cyber leadership, information assurance, network security, risk management, critical infrastructure protection, cyber warfare and the law, operations planning, espionage digital forensics and more. The delegation also engaged in threat scenario training in the NDU iCollege cyber laboratories.
