Be it known: The Order of the Raven is hereby established this day, 15 July 2023 in Washington, District of Columbia.

This Order is established by the College of Information and Cyberspace to recognize those persons who have singly or through sustained efforts contributed to the success and furtherment of the college. Individuals selected for the Order will have demonstrated sustained and definitive contributions to the furtherment of the college.

Members of the Order are selected by the head of the Order and the honor conferred only upon approval by the head of the Order. The head of the Order will carry the title Grand Raven and is responsible for ensuring the integrity of selection into the Order.

The head of the Order is the Chancellor of the College of Information and Cyberspace. Investiture as head of the Order and designation as Grand Raven shall occur only upon permanent appointment as Chancellor of the College.

Selection into the Order does not convey entitlement into monetary or other rewards, nor additional privileges or rights with the college or with the University.

There shall be no honorary members of the Order. Membership of the Order will not be conveyed as a gift or recognition simply for senior or international officials. Members of the Order will remain fully and wholly committed to the furtherment of the mission of the College and University.

Membership of the Order is not to be conveyed to students of the College.

The Order may be conveyed to individuals that furthered the IRMC or the Department of Defense Computer Institute.
